Happy Mother’s Day!
I’m still spending my vacation here in Palawan courtesy of mom and dad . This trip opened my eyes to the beauty of the Philippines and Mother Nature. No wonder it became a part of the 7 Wonders of the World. We also had the city tour and the Honda Bay tour. The Honda Bay tour was my most anticipated part of the tour. We went island hopping and snorkelling in the reefs of Starfish Island. The most unforgettable experience so far in my life. I’m looking forward to more travelling with friends and family. That’s why as early as now, I’m saving because after I graduate from College, I’m gonna travel again! Yes, it’s time to learn to be more independent. 2nd Chance lawlessphilosophy:
You don’t always get a 2nd chance in this life. You get one shot. One shot at that test, that game, that date. Too many times we look back and say “damn, that was my chance” or we say to ourselves “I’ll do it next time”.
News flash. There isn’t always a next time. The next time is never guaranteed. So why not just do it now?
People’s biggest problem is the realize this too late. They realize that they missed that shot. If they have any stones about them, they will try for another shot. Usually met with disappointment.
This has happened to me recently. I let someone slip through my fingers, foolish pride and general dumbassery (I should read what I preach sometimes). The problem wasn’t that I realized this too late, it was that I tried for a second chance too late. They have moved on, and I may never get the chance to show them what I really think of them, how I really care for them.
It takes a lot to come back for a second chance. I believe in second chances. I am also an optimist and believe the good in people, so I give them out pretty readily.
The point is, don’t have to ask for a second chance. Show them/do it right the FIRST time. Never wonder what could have been.

Jack of all trades and master of none, still deciding if that is positive or negative. Believes love is defined by Etta James’ song, “At Last”. Knows his worth, and won’t be short changed on it. Annoyingly corrects bad pronunciation, especially when in arguments, causing further irritation for his opponent. Lives for the nights she won’t remember with the friends he will never forget.   |
